Training: BRICK Workshop 34, Manchester, 29 November 2017

brick-header_1The Prince’s Regeneration Trust’s BRICK Workshop 34, which is being run in partnership with Historic England, will focus on mil restoration. The workshop will include successful case studies and presentations from experts within the sector, whilst also addressing project funding and much more!

The event will be held at Bridge 5 Mill in Manchester, which was refurbished using reclaimed and recycled materials with a vision that it could be a hub and a resource for groups, organisations and individuals working on environmental and social issues, and also an example of these ideas in action.

Speakers include:

  • ‘Mills and Boom: Reusing Mills to Deliver Growth’ by Charles Smith, Heritage at Risk, Historic England
  • Norman Redhead, University of Salford presenting ‘Mills: A Social History, Modern Research’
  • Master planning delivered by Ben Bolgar, Princes Foundation for Building Community
  • Tim Heatley, Capital and Centric, on Reuse Options

There will also be plenty of time for you to discuss your projects and network with other people in the sector.

Tickets, including lunch and refreshments, cost just £19. We want to make sure our workshops are accessible to everyone so offer a travel bursary for representatives of community groups (max £25 per person, two per organisation).
