The 12 finalists for this year’s Historic England Angel Awards have been revealed. These annual awards are supported by the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation and celebrate heritage heroes who have made a lasting difference to historic buildings and places.
This year’s nominees include a number of industrial heritage and related sites across the various categories, such as Corbridge Bottle Kilns, Northumberland; the Lundy Island Fog Battery Complex; Newman Brothers Coffin Works, Birmingham; Cotswold Canals, Wilts & Berks Canal, and Pocklington Canal; and the Weavers Cottages in Kidderminster.
