The second call for the RICHeS Access Fund, offering grants up to £20,000 to museums, galleries, archives, libraries, and community organisations, is open until 15 December, enabling access to heritage science facilities, collections, and expertise.
RICHeS is the UK’s national research infrastructure for conservation and heritage science. Run by the Arts and Humanities Reseach Council, the Access Fund initiative is designed to enable access to heritage science facilities, collections, and expertise by removing financial and practical barriers.
Heritage science can support research into artefacts, paintings, and buildings, as well as on archaeological landscapes. It could help see inside delicate objects, identify and better understand collections, select a data-informed conservation solution and much more.
Past recipients included SS Great Britain, the Portland Basin Industrial Museum, and the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Archive. To explore previous case studies and Access Fund award holders on the RICHeS website follow this link: Investments and Funding – RICHeS
