The Society for the Preservation of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) is offering four online training recordings covering some of the current topics in buildings conservation. Recorded in March 2026, they provide an easy way for professional industrial heritage staff to meet their CPD requirements. They will also help industrial heritage volunteers improve their understanding of some of the current topics in building conservation.

These training vidoes cover some of the most pressing issues affecting historic buildings, offering valuable insights into how we can tackle these topics and safeguard our built, industrial, heritage for the future. The topics covered are:

• Climate-change resilience: managing water on roofs
• Ventilation and air tightness within historic buildings
• Fire-protection within tradtional buildings post-Grenfell
• Baseling buildings: the importance of understandign buildign performance
