Historic England Announce First ‘Everyday Heritage’ Grants

Historic England has announced the 57 new projects which will be supported by the first ‘Everyday Heritage Grants: Celebrating Working Class Histories’ scheme. The projects are ‘community-led and people focused’ with the aim of providing volunteering opportunities.

Industrial Heritage projects supported include: Northern Souls – Going Down the Welly (Easington), Peel Street Mill and its people (Heywood), and The Staiths & Me (Dunston).
