CBA Lunchtime Networking and Digital Skills Development Sessions

The Council for British Archaeology is running a series of networking and skills development opportunities over the next few weeks, for those involved in leading a voluntary or community archaeological group. This is an initiative supported by Historic England’s COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund.

The sessions are free and are at lunchtime. Facilitated by CBA staff, they are designed to be friendly and informal – bring a coffee, tea or your lunch to the session. The first three topics, which are open to people involved in running groups for adults or for young people and will run from 12.15 to 1.15pm, will be:

Wednesday 25th November
Balancing the books: how to cover your group’s costs in the new environment

Wednesday 2nd December
Keeping members connected through online meetings: challenges and opportunities

Wednesday 9th December
Getting back to in person activity

The CBA are also running a series of skills development sessions, providing a quick introduction to hosting and participating in online events using common video conferencing software, plus an opportunity to improve your social media skills. Again, the sessions run from 12.15 to 1.15pm, and the topics cover:

Monday 30 November
A beginner’s guide to Zoom

Monday 7th December
An advanced guide to Zoom

Monday 14th December
How to run an online AGM
