The Coronavirus crisis has implications for all (heritage) charities as well as their staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries. The NCVO has some very useful advice for Trustees on how to cope with the challenges thrown up by the current situation. This includes the type of questions Trustees need to be asking; prioritising work to help with maintaining capacity; holding remote meetings; and the impact of the crisis on AGMs and general meetings.
Although most of the heritage charities in the UK have few if any paid staff, the current health crisis has significant impacts beyond the more tradition museum and visitor attraction sectors. This includes how to manage funds and maintaining links with members and volunteers of local groups and societies amongst many other issues.
