The next BRICK workshop will take place at the historic Brymbo Ironworks near Wrexham. The day will focus on topics relating to governance, procurement and project management, all of which are essential to the proper planning for reusing heritage sites. The session will also feature presentations on a range of heritage regeneration projects, all at different stages in their project journey.
The agenda will include presentations from Richard Bellamy, Head of Heritage Lottery Fund Wales, on funding; Laura Norris, from the Prince’s Regeneration Trust, on governance, and representatives from the Cadwgan Building Preservation Trust on their award winning project to restore Cardigan Castle and turn it into a thriving visitor attraction.
There will also be an opportunity to take a tour of the former iron and steelworks and learn about th eplans to turn it and the accompanying 300 million year old fossilised forest area into a visitor attraction, learning centre and business hub.
Tickets are £19 and travel bursaries are available for representatives of community groups. For more information, to book your place, and for the full agenda click here
