This year’s AIA Conference will be held at Moulton College near Northampton. The conference will begin with a seminar focussing on the contribution of developer-funded projects to industrial archaeology. The opening lecture of the conference proper will be by Brian Giggins on 2000 years of industrial development in Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes, whilst the annual Rolt Memorial Lecture will be by Nigel Crowe on the Grand Union Canal. The last three days of the conference will consist of visits to industrial heritage sites across the south East Midlands including Bletchley Park, Leighton Buzzard Light Railway, and the National Lift Tower in Northampton.
