ICON Skills at Risk Practitioner Survey

The Institute of Conservation (Icon) is inviting conservation practitioners across the UK to complete its Skills at Risk Practitioner Survey. This is designed to help identify specialist skills and knowledge (many of them industrial heritage related) at risk of being lost.

Supported by the Pilgrim Trust, the research will help inform future training, advocacy, and workforce development across the heritage sector. The survey takes 15–20 minutes to complete and closes on 25 November 2026. Participants can also enter a prize draw for Icon membership or event vouchers.
