Winners of 2025 National Railway Heritage Awards Announced

The 2025 National Railway Heritage Awards – established in 1979 to recognise best practice in the re-use, restoration and upkeep of historic railway and tramway buildings – were presented on 3 December by the Minister for Rail, Peter, Lord Hendy of Richmond Hill.

This year’s honours included the restoration of the former Cambrian Railways headquarters in Oswestry, tiled map panels at London Victoria, Keighley station, the Glenfinnan Viaduct, and Knightsbridge station.

Additional awards recognised conservation work at Richmond station, volunteer achievements at Keighley station, community re-use in Leeds, commercial adaptation at Ebberston station, and a special bicentenary award for Hopetown Carriage Works in Darlington. The overall Network Rail Award went to the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway for its work at Porthmadog Top Yard.
