SWWERIAC 2025: South Wales & West of England Regional Industrial Archaeology Conference, 26 April

This year’s South Wales and West of England Regional Industrial Archaeological Conference (SWWERIAC) is being organised by Somerset Industrial Archaeology Society (SIAS) and takes  take place on 26th April at Walton Village Hall, near Street, Somerset.

The programme includes talks on several important industries in the area, including the shoemakers Clarks (ahead of the opening of the new museum later this year), Tonedale Mills, and Coker Canvas. There is also a selection of post-conference visits to chose from, including Street Buildings (industrial housing), Glastonbury Fossick (tanneries), Westonzoylabnd Pumping Station, and the Bridgewater brick & tile museum.
