The Heritage Counts publication series, researched and published by Historic England, aims to support historic environment professionals in their advocacy work for heritage by providing evidence, data, and new research about the importance of heritage to people and places. It consists of the following parts:
- Research on the topic of Heritage & the Economy, Heritage & Society, and Heritage & the Environment
- Heritage Indictor Data – These data sets collate a range of indicators that provide useful trends and statistics into the state of the historic environment around 8 themes
- Historic Environment Overview – Highlights the development across England’s heritage sector in the previous Financial year.
