AIM is introducing a series of free Heritage Trustees 101 events across England. Working with SHARE Museums East and supported by Trustees Unlimited, these training sessions are designed to help prepare those considering a trustee role in the independent museum sector. This event will be especially useful for potential trustees of the hundreds of Industrial Heritage organisations in England.
The first pilot event will be held at the Museum of Cambridge on the 28th November, 5.30pm-8pm. As well as providing an overview of what becoming a Trustee involves, and the role and duties of a museum trustee, the sessions will also offer museums specific guidance on strengthening their trustee recruitment process.
Further training events will follow in Spring 2024. To book for the pilot event follow this link: https://aim-museums.co.uk/events/heritage-trustees-101/
