Industrial Heritage Network members in England are amongst those who are warmly invited to participate in this international scientific conference at the Museum of Silesia, Katowice, Poland, on Thursday 16th to Friday 17th November 2023.
The conference will be devoted to the issues of protection of industrial heritage with sensible environmental measures, issues very relevant to English Industrial Heritage sites. Discussions will also include the need for the continued use of modest amounts of fossil fuels for industrial and mobile heritage and the more effective use of modern media to promote our heritage. Delegates will also visit an active mine which might serve as a long-term source of supply of coal for heritage purposes across Europe.
The Conference fee is Pln 250 (approx € 55). Full details and registration information can be found on the Silesian Preservation of Industrial Heritage Foundation website: www.muzeatechniki.pl/green-europe/
